Getting the Best Sound

ThatChannel and ThatRadio are putting out CD quality audio far surpassing the sound quality of FM Radio. To get the most out of your listening and viewing experience, you can hook your computer up to your home stereo system for unbelievable sound quality!

Just hook up a link from the headphone jack of your computer (usually the green jack at the back) to the auxiliary (aux) inputs of your stereo.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Get a “Y” cord to use as the link from your computer to your stereo. These are often available at your local dollar store, and are certainly available from stores like The Source (formerly Radio Shack). You’ll need a cord with two “RCA” male connectors at one end and one 3.5mm stereo male plug at the other end (pictured below. Make sure you’ve got enough length to reach from your computer to your stereo.
    RCA plugs
Right and left (red and white) RCA male plugs (on the left), and 3.5mm stereo “phono” plug (on the right).
  2. Plug the 3.5mm stereo phono plug into the green line-out jack on the back of your computer (or into the headphone jack on the front of your computer).
  3. Plug the left and right rca plugs into the auxiliary (aux) jack at the back of your stereo or ghettoblaster. Alternatively, you could try plugging it into the Tape In or Phono inputs.
  4. Once the connection is made, set your stereo to “aux” (or the appropriate setting), and tune into ThatChannel.com. Adjust the volumes and enjoy!
