Storytelling Toronto: an organization that has continued to teach, celebrate, and explore the art and tradition of oral storytelling. Dawne McFarlane and Sarah Abusarar are from Storytelling Toronto, this year celebrating its 40th anniversary. Storytelling Toronto first started in 1979 as the Storytellers School of Toronto. The goal was to encourage the renaissance of storytelling in modern society where individuals would share their traditional stories, cultural stories, family stories so, that those types of stories are not forgotten.
